Over 8.5 Million Digital Transactions via the "Absher" Platform in December 2024

During the month of December, the Ministry of Interior’s electronic platform Absher processed more than 8,521,000 digital transactions for citizens, residents, and visitors through Absher  Individuals and Absher Business platforms.
Through Absher Individuals, over 6,022,000 transactions were completed. The Civil Affairs Agency of the Ministry of Interior executed 84,656 National ID validity checks, 37,962 electronic renewals of National ID cards, 31,110 family member verification certificates, 26,503 transactions via the My Data service, 15,979 transactions via the Enhanced My Data service, 9,282 issuances of replacement cards for lost National IDs, 5,528 family registry documents, and 3,223 issuances of replacement cards for damaged National IDs.
Within the General Directorate of Passports, the platform facilitated the issuance and renewal of 347,495 residency permits, 261,969 exit and re-entry visas, 79,438 Saudi electronic passports, and 24,572 passport services for children under the age of ten. Additionally, 20,111 exit/re-entry visa extensions were processed, alongside 12,338 service transfer requests, 8,718 cancellations of final exit visas, 5,186 issuances of final exit visas during the trial phase, and 1,067 authorizations for receiving domestic workers.
In the area of Public Security services, the platform completed 125,162 vehicle repair permit requests, 67,426 driving authorization issuances, 61,583 vehicle registration renewals, 47,032 license plate replacements, 29,417 vehicle sale transactions, 9,037 vehicle decommissioning requests for damaged or abandoned vehicles, 5,416 firearm service requests, 3,957 driver’s license renewals, and 3,461 vehicle insurance validity inquiries.
Also in December, Absher processed 95,345 document delivery requests via postal services, issued 84,380 reports through Absher Reports service, and handled 1,957 general fingerprint inquiries.
Through Absher Business platform, more than 2,499,000 transactions were executed. These included 1,316,869 internal and external authorizations, 358,189 residency issuance and renewal requests, 195,392 traffic violation inquiries, 119,216 exit and re-entry visa issuances, 102,410 vehicle user assignments, 79,555 customs card transfers, and 75,248 service transfer requests. Other operations included 57,152 vehicle ownership transfer holds, 34,628 criminal record clearance certificates, 31,576 vehicle registration renewals, 25,459 exit/re-entry visa extensions, 21,366 vehicle repair permits for businesses, 20,195 driving authorizations for visitors, 6,669 final exit visa cancellations, 6,100 resident report requests, 5,934 passport information updates, 4,097 profession modification requests, 3,375 driver's license information inquiries, 2,915 exit/re-entry visa cancellations, 2,469 vehicle information inquiries, 2,270 airgun permit applications, and 1,871 permits for stone-cutting materials.
